Here at The Old Chapel in Nutbourne we are currently offering Music Lessons for Piano and Vocals.

Lessons are conducted one to one by our hand picked team of freelance teachers.

Cathy Burton heads up the teaching team and has has over 20 years of teaching experience. Cathy also works as a Professional Musician and Singer Songwriter. Although trained classically Cathy also has a vast amount of experience working in Rcok, Pop and Dance music genres. She appreciates that good classical training is a real advantage when pursuing a career in music regardless of musical genre.

The team primarily teach Classical Piano from Beginners upwards and follow the ABRSM Syllabus. We also have teachers that specialise in Jazz and Musical Theatre.

The classical syllabus leads to a firm understanding of music theory and a great foundation for any musician. As students progress lessons can be tailored towards more contampary styles.

Students are encouraged to perform at our bi-annual concerts where performances are rewarded with sweets and chocolate!! Learning performance from an early age is a great asset for any musician.
